This really sucks for Lu, he was playing very well.
I hope it's not as bad as it looked when he went down in obvious great pain.
Idk if Sateri will work out as Reimer's backup, but I don't see Tallon overpaying for a temporary backup goalie. I think he is more focused on the future than he is on this season.
If he does make a deal, hopefully it involves Vrbata.
Tallon may explore options to bring in the "goalie of the future". Montembault is only in his first year in AHL out of Junior and they are hopeful about him, but who knows if he will pan out. Lu's injury may accelerate the search for the starter that replaces Reimer down the road. |

Reimer should be fine, even considering his horrific start. Panthers are just destroyed by the GM. Trocheck is amazing though, what a player! |

I'm looking at this roster and can't believe with that much talent you can't have a good season. Hell Vegas had 4th string goalies win games for them. |

Reimer always played his best when he got on a roll playing a lot of games. The first few games before he gets wound up could be ugly though.

While Reimer has let in some soft goals this year he hasn't been bad overall, and was the difference in a few victories for FL. His poor stats are just as much attributable to shoddy defensive zone coverage as he has often been hung out to dry. We'll see how he does playing the majority of the games over the next 2 months, last year he seemed to trail off after playing a lot of games in a row. |
